The SKS is the popular stapler for cabinet, furniture and general woodworking applications such as cabinet frame assembly, counter tops, corner blocks, displays, drawers, and trim panels. Featuring totally oil-less operation. It drives L-staples in length ranging from 7/8 in. to 1-1/2 in. with a 1/4 in. crown. Virtually maintenance free and weighing only 4.2 lbs., this stapler is the tool professional craftsmen depend on for top performance. Fitting not included.Senco's SKS-L trim stapler is an excellent tool for a number of woodworking applications. In addition to cabinet, furniture, and molding assembly, it is also used on doors, window casings, trim, crating, agricultural boxes, fencing, and wood crafts. This medium-wire trim stapler is capable of driving 1/4-inch crown staples in lengths ranging from 7/8 to 1-1/2 inches. We found this model to be lightweight (only 4.2 pounds) and versatile, capable also of attaching aluminum and vinyl siding, underlayment, roofing sheathing, and decking materials. It holds 158 staples and comes with a restrictive trigger; however, Senco will provide a dual-action (bump-firing) trigger that allows for a firing rate of up to five staples per second. Senco is a pioneer of the oil-free industry--this stapler never needs lubrication, ensuring virtually trouble-free operation and low maintenance. Every cabinet shop I've ever worked in has at least two of these. I finally found one at a great price and got one for my home hobby use. It holds two full sticks of staples, is super easy to load, the remaining staples are easy to see, and has a jam clearing feature that pops open the front of the nose piece should you ever need it (I haven't so far).
The best thing about these guns is they make a distinct "whoosh" sound when you run out of staples--it's probably not intentional on the part of Senco, but you'll appreciate it the first time you're holding something heavy and need confirmation that a staple was set before you let go.
